Ok we all have tools we've bought that we can live without and tools we can't.
What are they?
I'll start with some of what I couldn't
1 beall collet chuck
2-barracuda chuck
3-wolverine
Some that I could
1- 7x10 HF metal lathe - don't know how to use it
2- Pauls vise - as I do all my drilling on the lathe. Would I give it up, no.
3- Beall buffing system
What are yours?

My most important tools in my shop are...........

Rubber flooring
Pencil and paper
Constantly refilled IAP coffee mug:biggrin: I've got 4 of them and they are rotated. Fresh one gets delivered and the old one gets taken away. Lucky aren't I?

With those, I'm set to go:)

My most important tool in the shop is TIME, which I never seem to have enough of.

If you decide you want to sell the vise, let me know.

Some tools I can't live without, and wonder how I ever did:
- South Bend 9c metal lathe
- big belt grinder
- dust collector
- mig welder

Some I have, that probably don't need:
- none of them

IAP COFFEE MUG? Where can i get one? my most valuable tool is my lathe, without it I could not make any round mistakes, LOL

Probably the most used tools in my shops are the Skogger and the Woodchucks, they just take the wood down smoothly and quickly and save time. I also use a lot of Bandages lately.

Note: The bandages are from a bandsaw, not from a Skogger or Woodchuck.

OP: I'll PM you my address and you can send that metal lathe along... ;)

Could do without:
Drill press

That's about it. I do lots of flatwork too, so darn near every tool is a multi-purpose tool.

CA debonder and johnnycnc's bushings. Arbor press. Barracuda chuck system. Table saw with Incra miter gauge and sled system. Dust masks. Air compressor. Belt/disc sander. Digital micrometer/calipers. Gallons of CA glue. Band saw.
