This is neither here not there but now and then things happen that you just feel like sharing... because people need to know that there ARE people who care and all too often all we hear about are people bitching when things don't go their way!
I placed an order with Craft Supply (Also known as "The Woodturners Catalog") for a few kits and blanks to fulfill a custom order. It was supposed to arrive Thursday bud didn't, it didn't arrive Friday either so I checked the UPS tracking and it showed "delivered"! A call to UPS then Craft Supply then UPS again started an investigation which would last from 1 to 8 business days. Great! Now I have to wait two more weeks before getting the items I need... but not so! Craft Supply called me back again and said they would immediately get a replacement shipment out and insured me it would mail yesterday. They said we could sort out the details if and when UPS came to the conclusion that they screwed up and lost my shipment.
Now that's customer service!
I also placed an order with Arizona Silhouette for the first time in a long time. Whoever packs up the orders whether it's Bill himself or a hired hand, must have taken Packing 101, 201 and advanced packing at the local community college! The Priority mail box was not only taped but hot glued so you literally have to rip it open... NO chance of this baby coming open during shipment.
Once opened, EVERYTHING was neatly wrapped in individual bubble wrap and cardboard rather than just tossed in with some Styrofoam peanuts.
The fountain pen nibs were placed in pharmacy pill bottles to further protect them, the dental wax sheets were surrounded by hand trimmed heavy cardboard to keep the sheets flat and it was obvious that whoever packed the box took a great deal of pride and didn't want anything to get messed up or damaged.
Now that's customer service too!
This is by no means meant to demean other vendors who I do business with, I just didn't buy from them this week!
