I`ve been a member of IAP now for a year....Absolutely love it. In my opinion no other forum can compare. Now the nosy part, why do some of you belong to the other forums? I visit ever now and again but they just don`t come up to what this forum has and does.

Thanks in advance to your responses,
Perry

Different focus on some forums and different people on others. I frequent one forum based in Canada because I'm friends with some of the people there and another forum that mostly deals with CNC, metal casting and such. I've learned a bunch from each but The IAP is hands down my favorite it's always open on the desktop when I'm at the computer.

You can't believe how much knowledge you can share and learn from different forums (especially other turning, woodworking and knife makers ;))

If we are talking about just penturning forums then I've been wondering that myself. I just joined a different one this morning because I noticed that half the members were on this one and I wanted to see if it was the same stuff or different. If you are referring to other woodworking forums then I agree with the answers above.:D

I guess it gives you an opportunity to see others work as not everyone belongs to or shares on every forum. I belong to a few others but the majority of my time is spent here. I check the others every now and then to see if I'm missing anything that could help, inspire, or teach me.

I spend more time in the IAP forum than anywhere else, but I look into the other pen forums to see whats happening, look at finished pen pictures, take part in a group buy etc..:D
