I have been talking with Ron, rblakemore, about making 30 caliber pens from used casings and bullets and about stabilizing and powder coating. I decided that since I would be setting up a demo for him, I might as well see if anyone else in the Houston area was interested in attending. If anyone wants to see a specific demo or present one, let me know.
So, on Saturday, July 12, I'll be hosting a meeting at my place for any one interested in attending. We'll start about 9AM and go to??? Bring drinks and $5 for lunch and we'll send out for pizza. And for those that have not been to my shop in the past, it is air conditioned.
Post below if you plan on attending so I can send you directions and my phone number.

Hey, I've never been to one of these before but I think it'd be a great time!

If I'm not busy (just got engaged so plans are being made a lot) then I'll definitely be there! The day is clear right now though!

I look forward to it!

(It would take me a couple hours to get there though so I definitely won't arrive early.)

Would love to be there... But already have hotel reservations for Coushatta Casino for that weekend. Maybe next time.

Sounds like a fun get-together. Sure wish I could be there but LOML and I are leaving on the 11th for a few days in Brenham in our "new" 5th Wheel.
Have fun guys!
Edgar

Just sent a PM to those of you that said you may attend. The PM page would not let me send a hyperlink to a map or attach pictures of the page (too large).

Let's plan on starting between 9 and 9:30 AM.
What do you need to bring?
1 - Something to drink if you want something other than coffee, tea or water,
2 - $5 for pizza for lunch
3 - Pens to show off
4 - a blank or two for the blank swap
5 - a folding chair if you want to sit down (I have a few but not enough for all)

If anyone else, not listed in my post above want to attend or you did not receive my PM, let me know and I'll send you directions.

We'll be there!

Hi Manny,
My wife (Edie) and I are looking forward to attending the gathering at your shop on Saturday. We'll be a little late so don't hold up the demo for us.

I'll bring some show and tell and will be glad to demo. how to make the Turners Mark (initial window). Edie has some nice PR castings with oriental designs that rival some of the best I've seen on the site.

Send your address and I'll put it in my GPS and we'll let it guide us from Kingwood, around the scenic beltway to Pearland.
See you Sat.
Ed

Missed direction info.

Manny, it looks like I missed the directions memo. Please forward it on to me.
Best regards.
Ed

Sorry all, not going to be able to make it. Got back from vacation only to get sick for the week. To top it all off, my AC went on Monday night and they are hear this morning installing the new one.

hope to see you all at the next one,

Chris Jones

Just wanted to say thanks again to Mannie for putting this together.

Despite the considerable case of "shop envy" that Christy has acquired, we had a great time!

It was a real good time and very friendly company -- we look forward to doing it again!

Thanks for everyone who showed up and made it for an enjoyable afternoon.

I'll second that!
The demos were all great. Particularly, how to do the bullet kits without a couple hundred dollars in reload-specific gadgets.
...Until next time.
