Here is the latest of my mica blank pens. Color Shift mica flakes applied directly to the tube and then clear cast. The flakes give a far different appearance than the powder. My wife often names a pen when I show it to her. This one is "Mardigras".
I was inspired by Jalbert's skeletonized pens and cut windows into Bocote on the upper. C&C, questions welcomed.

Thank you all for the appreciation!
I am an earth tone kind of guy, so this one is a little out of my comfort zone but fun to make.
I already have another iteration in the works.
Anyone that does casting could do the mica on tube effect. I have been getting it from Eye candy pigments.

Awesome!
Maybe next time try it with black titanium hardware so the gold isn't distracting from the beautiful body of a pen:)
I like all color-shift materials a lot:) nice to see something different!

Thanks!
I hadn't thought out dark plating. I'll have to see what I have.
