does anyone have any knowledge of this jet,mod.#23734,all i know is it is a veriable speed but don't know if it's a belt change or what,is it worth $522.00?

I owna Jet 1236 and the picture of the Jet 23734 on the Sears website looks just like my lathe.

I agree, I also have a Jet 1236 and the one Sears shows looks identical. You do NOT have to change any belts for the variable speed.
