Thanks, but that's the one place I found that lists the parts, and it says the one I need is obsolete (rather ominous) - odd, since the lathe is still sold...

If you look at the motor pulleys, #30 is obsolete but #29 (the other half) says it works for both sides.

On the spindle pulleys, #14 is obsolete, but #12 is available. Maybe it's the same as the motor pulleys. #12 will work on both sides???

Why not call jet directly and ask them?

Of course, for what you are going to spend on new pulleys, maybe that money would be better put towards a new lathe (without a reeves drive this time).

Not sure which pulleys you need, but I've bought new pulleys for my Jet 1442.. both motor and headstock and they only ran about US$50+ each set... not sure what they would charge for shipping to Canada.

I'll be in the market for a new set of motor pulleys pretty soon... the keyway on the motor shaft broke on mine and has allowed the moving pulley to be wallowed out along the keyway slot...plus with the broken keyway, the points on the pulleys that are suppose to mesh have become slightly boogered up... (that's east Tennesseean for damaged... )
