There have been a number of posts using ivory and other celluoids from American Art Plastics. They also have some unusual ebonite. Looks great, not inexpensive but less than the real stuff, does make a very nice pen and reasonably easy to work with as long as you keep it cool.

I've worked this material and like it a lot. It has a tremendously strong odor of camphor (since celluloid is a camphor product), and you have to be careful because of flammability, but it's very pretty.

Cool Ed as soon as I can get some funds ahead of me I can order them. When I saw the alternate items I kind of figured you were there distributor here which is good to know.

Some people have tried to order direct from GPS:confused::confused::confused: They do not sell direct--only through their "stockists" around the world.

If you see a product on their site or one of their other stockists (especially the few in Great Britain), that is not shown on Exotics---let me know if it looks attractive, to you! Unfortunately, we don't ALWAYS hear about new products as quickly as the Brits.

I try to keep everything they offer in pen blanks, so all help is appreciated!!

New shipment week of Aug 2---three custom "non-stock" blanks for Exotics.

That's a cool website, the american plastics one. I guess with all the bad press for petrochemicals lately using these vegtable based and natural rubber based materials could be billed as, "an all natural pen" and "renewalble resources". Just a thought. I have a few customers that would find this appealing.
