Probably nobody noticed but I haven't posted for well over a week. Here's why:

The wife and I went with some friends on a cruise around the Western Carribean last week. Four ports of call in Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya, and Nassau. We snorkeled the barrier reef in Belize and visited the Mayan ruins in Costa Maya. I had so much fun I forgot I have a lathe (almost). Can't wait to get into the shop but today I'm picking up my oak burl from oahunative. :D:D

Hi Bruce!

It looks like you guys had a great time! My Wife and I love to go on cruises! Our last one was on a Carnival ship, and we had a great time! Maybe we should organize an IAP cruise! [8D]

Becca - You gotta just do it! I just saw a flyer (E-Mail) for a ten day Hawaiian cruise for under $600!!! You could sell enough pens to pay for that! [;)]

Scott.

Looks like a great time. I hope you checked out the wood crafter in the straw market in Nassau. I had to get a few turned and carved things from him.

Bruce, yes, I saw the carver at the straw market. I also thought about asking him for some of his logs but my suitcases were already too heavy. Here's a pic of what I found most interesting at the Mayan ruins in Costa Maya:

My wife couldn't believe I wanted a picture. After that she kept pointing out other trees as well. People thought we were nuts.[:p]

Scott, I think an IAP cruise is a great idea. Think we could visit different jungles as an excursion and they give everyone chainsaws![}:)][:p][:D]
