It's been a long time since I have posted a picture here but I have been here several times a day looking. The rolling pin and the bowl from a Plank were both posted by William O. Young as was the tutorial for both. Thanks Bill. In these items are walnut, red oak, cherry maple, hickory, purple heart. My photography isn't very good so the shine doesn't show. On the bowl I need to do better on my seams, I'm working on it.

Looks good from here. You may want to try and use a white sheet around the items and have back lights to get a better picture.

I love the rolling pin. That's definitely on my list of "want to turn someday"... Nicely Done.

Its one piece---no kits, no bearings.

Very nice work. I had never thought about turning a rolling pin before seeing this thread. Now I might have to add it to my "One of These Days" list.
