Until this moment, I didn't know you could fit a whole chicken in a can. Oh by the way, it's fully cooked so you can eat it straight out of the can!

It actually doesn't look too bad, have you guys ever seen C-rations or MRE's? could always be worse, they could have done it in curry.
It looks a little different than the picture on the can.

I thought this thred might have been started yesterday until I looked and saw that it was started today. It sounds like an April fools joke. Looks nasty too.

"That is almost as bad maybe worse than SPAM...Gag...choke. I am sure that it has uses"

THERE IS NOTHING IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD THAT IS WORSE THAN SPAM:eek::eek:

The best part of that whole thing is the gelatinous stuff that's clinging to that pasty bird.

I think the second best part would be the slurping sound it makes as it slides out of the can... Yummy. That makes potted meat look tasty.

Actually, there is. We had an exchange student from Hong Kong live with us a few years ago, and her folks would send her snack packages from home. One time, she got chunks of duck kidneys and chicken wings that were fully cooked and package in individual foil wrappers... No refrigeration. Those things smelled so bad that we had to ask her to eat them outside.

Hey when I was stationed in Korea in the early 90s, Camp Howze in the western corridor, north of Seoul, frozen freezer burned beef patties and Spam were considered FRESH and were delicacies. One day one of my NCOs received a package from home and it had two cans of these chickens…talk about a party! For the rest of the time we were there we ate chicken most of the time. Yea, I know it looks unappetizing but nothing enough soju couldn't fix. :)

Folks you all might think I am nuts but Sweet Sue makes some really good tasting food---you should try their Chicken and dumplings.
Heck you want to talk about nasty-------you should see what's in that fast food you had for lunch and what it's doing to your heart.

We (wife & me) like spam--my kids hate it-they had to eat so much of it growing up. It was fairly cheap back then and with 5 kids things had to be cheap.

Take the Spam, slice it thin (1/2") dredge it in some egg and milk mix, flour it, and fry it up in some bacon fat and you have yourself a great field meal. After your heart attack you switch to the chicken in a can.

:biggrin::biggrin: Right on. I have had three heart stents. The last time they put sch 40 PVC pipe in to see if that would work.

Oh Man, somebody had to mention Ham and Moth*******S in public. But still they weren't as bad as those damn green eggs in those little round cans.

Eugene, When I was stationed at Osan AB, we ate pretty good most of the time on base. There were a few late nights sitting in those little orange tents drinking soju and snacking on mystery meat out of the ice tray's where those canned chickens wouldn't even have made me blink though.

I like spam. I like frogs legs. I even like gator. But there isn't enough money in the world to get me to even open one of those canned chickens.
