I turned in my papers for my Retirement on Dec 31 it is going to be a Happy New Year/Life for my wife Kristin & I. Going to be able to spend more time doing what we want and no one else and I told her she pays better with Room & Board.
Looking forward as Don Ward told me the 7 Saturday or 6 Saturday & 1 Sunday week.

Congratulations Jerry! Retirement is a wonderful thing. The only issue I've noticed is my days go by much faster when I'm not watching the clock, and I find myself wondering how i got everything done when I was working. Enjoy!

Congratulations! I second JohnU's comment, you will wonder how you had time to work.

Another good piece of advice I received from a colleague who retired a bit before I did. His wife let him know that she married him for better or for worse, but not for lunch every day. There is a good message in there.

Cheers!

one tactical error there , you've told her you're retiring ? Has the list of " now you've got time to do ……. "arrived yet. If not worry cos it's being written 😉

Have a long and happy rest . Hope fishing goes well

Be careful... I've know many of people who have retired and have become more busy than they were than when they were working. I've heard the statement, "When I was working ... where did I find the time to do all this?"

Congrats on making it! The week long weekend sounds so nice!

I'm only 45...yet I already yern for retirement. :p I started working pretty hard when I was about 14, though, as a programmer...and I was programming around 7 or 8 and doing odd computer jobs for people before I was even 14. So I feel I've been in the work market about as long as someone who is about 55 today...

Congrats, I retired a year ago. I have a clock now with one hand and the days of the week on it. It was a retirement gift. I've been preparing for retirement for ten years. Have thousands of blanks and different pen kits. For the last year I've been fixing and cleaning out stuff. I'm about ready to start making pens again. The one thing that keeps going through my head is the phrase "It all went by so fast".
