There have been songs written about how hot it gets in Augusta, Georgia (50 miles NORTH EAST of here).

But it is really hot here, even by our own standards. Yesterday, Lake Oconee, Georgia 105 degrees and 87 percent humidity. Today looks like it will be even hotter!

Somebody mention cooler climates, maybe a cooler climate mindset will help. We have an outdoor show tomorrow (on grass, not asphalt, thank GOD) It will be oppressive!

Hey Andy, Come winter I'll trade!!

I don't envy you doing a show. We have done a few when it has been that hot (not many thankfully). We finally broke down and bought a little Honda generator one summer. As well as a lathe, it powered several large fans that we always kept running in the booth. It was still hot, but for some reason we always seemed to have a few folks milling around.

You could always come out here for a visit. 117 yesterday (but it is a dry heat)LOL.
Only 35 miles to DEATH VALLEY where it really gets hot. Last time I was over there we spotted a jack rabbit toting a water bag and sack lunch.

WE are cooler today. Outside temp is only 92 deg.

3 more hours and I'm heading for the pool...

Carrie Underwood is going to ruin that beautiful gown if the weather stays like this. I hate that too, she is a delightful woman, very down to earth, very caring, just good people!

Andy, I'm 50 miles on the other side of Augusta. It is triple digits and over 90% humidity today. I don't see any hope for now. Hopefully you will do well in your show!

Carrie Underwoods wedding is a couple of miles from my show tomorrow. We always get a lots of celebs, but tomorrow they will all be out! I hope I get to meet Simon Cowell. I got a pen for him:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

It's gonna be hot but worth it. The circus HAS come to town here!

Yeah, as my buddy from Las Vegas said about Lake Oconee after his visit here :
"Out in Las Vegas, we just bake our tourists, down at Lake Oconee, y'all like to boil 'em first".

Been well over 90 the last few days. My shops in the basement no air but below ground works, shop temp average 68-70 deg. May have to hunt for one of those dehumidifiers that don't raise the shop temp. though.

Hot here too. Central Arizona is cooking. Not near the humidity though.
