Wow...it's been a little over a year since I've posted any of my work! Time sure flies. Here's a bit of what I've been up to. Too many for proper descriptions...but I did make all the materials.

Sorry for the rotated pics. For some reason they upload that way even though they're normal on my phone.

Very nice as usual. I was delighted to finally meet you in person in Augusta. The fountain pen I made and you adjusted has written each time every time I've used it. Thanks.
Do a good turn daily!
Don

Wow! What an assortment of very different and unique combinations of color in your castings. Simply amazing! They're going to be an inspiration as I begin to play with a new order of mica powders I just received as soon as I make a couple more pen molds. Thanks very much for sharing. Your timing couldn't be better!

Hey Jonathan, Those pens are simply gorgeous!! The color combinations reallyset them apart from the crowd. I am liking the shorty pens.
Good hearing from you!

Wow your still turning pens? Had no idea. :) :)

Loved the article in pen world. It was really great to see!! The blanks you make are still second to none. Love the pens too. Well done!!

Some day I hope to make some custom pens half as good. :)

Those are some fantastic pens!

As for the photo rotation, this is something that has bugged me too. My understanding is that in many programs rotation is done using meta-data, rather than actually reordering the pixels in the jpeg. This is very low "cost" from a processing view. However, when we upload to IAP the meta-data is lost (I think), so the rotation goes back to the default. Some programs like Paint or Photoshop will actually reorder the pixels when you rotate, so the orientation is consistent. I use photoshop on my phone to crop the photos that I upload, this solves the rotation problem, killing two birds with one stone. There are other software tools that can be used too. I figured I would share this, because it happens on here quite a bit and can be frustrating to folks...

Thanks for the nudge Charlie!

Really great group of pens! Do you still sell your blanks? I would would like to make some pens from a couple of the pens you are showing.

Sent from my iPad using Penturners.org mobile app

Thanks! I do make and sell blanks daily. I don't check in here that often so the best way to get in touch is via email: Jonathonbrooks803@gmail.com

Thanks Ron! Yeah I make a pen (or more) just about every day. Glad you liked the article. That was fun to be a part of.
