Ironwood pen covered with Urushi

Hi Everyone,
A new commission for a wooden pen covered with Urushi.
Barrel and cap made from Ironwood and laquered. The section is made from ebonite finished with nakanuri technique.

Thanks.
The glossy finish it's done with high quality Urushi, Japanese origin. Carefully wiped and cured under strict surveillance. Each layer is polished and all this repeated a dozen of times.
