Jeweler friend of mine told me he does Rhodium plating on some of the jewelry he makes and I asked him how much would it cost to plate say one of the cigar pens. He said about $1.25, maybe less. I thought it was interesting.

I suspect that represents the cost of doing one at a time, factor that for doing hundreds or thousands in a tumble "Plater".

Your probably right Ed, also he buys it by the gram. I am sure he pays a premium.
