instrucciones en espanol

I just got back from a small town in Mexico doing some missions work, and was able to bring back some mesquite from a few friends I have there (you should have seen the look on the face of the customs agent as he tried to figure out why the gringo wanted to take firewood home in his suitecase, but he allowed it).


Anyhow, I am making 5 slimlines to send back to my friends using wood from their farm (also an orphanage), but the problem is I would like some "how to refill the pen" instructions in spanish. I don't quite know enough spanish to translate one myself, so before I butcher the spanish with Babelfish, I thought I'd check here to see if anyone had any Cross-style refill instructions in spanish? If you and you would like to share them with me, you can email them to the email linked in my username.

Acabo de conseguir detrás de una ciudad pequeña en México que hacía el trabajo de algunas misiones, y podía traer detrás algún mesquite de algunos amigos que tengo allí (usted debe haber visto la mirada en la cara del agente de aduanas mientras que él intentó calcular hacia fuera porqué el gringo deseó tomar el hogar de la leña en su suitecase, pero él lo permitió). De todos modos, estoy haciendo 5 slimlines para enviar de nuevo a mis amigos usando la madera de su granja (también un orphanage), pero el problema es yo quisiera alguno "cómo rellenar las instrucciones de la pluma" en español. ¿No sé absolutamente bastante español para traducir uno mismo, así que antes de que mate el español con Babelfish, pensé que comprobaría aquí para ver si cualquier persona tenía cualesquiera instrucciones del repuesio del Cruz-estilo en español? Just got to Babelfish and type your Inglish instruction into the window and translate.. it's about 90% accurate..

Apenas conseguido a Babelfish y mecanografíe su instrucción de Inglish en la ventana y tradúzcala. es el cerca de 90% exacto.

I read what Babelfish gave you and I'm pretty sure it's afar off from 90% from what I was intending to say. Mostly verb tenses that it mis-interpreted (electronic translators do not know what "context" is and how it determines interpretation, and therefore goofs up translating verb tense, mood, and/or voice).

Just for giggles I re-translated your spanish *back* into english using babelfish (this back and forth translating is a hobby for some folks who still live with their parents and play nintendo all day[)], it can get really funny especially if you use one of the asian languages). This is about how it would have sounded to a hispanic:

Firefyter, I'm a bit dense, I'm not sure I understand you.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Try making a pictorial set of instructions using photos of someone changing the refill. You could add arrows to show direction of pull, push, twist, etc.

Redfish, that's almost as funny as the skit where they had about six people in a line, each with a different language.. the first guy tells a joke in English to the second, who tells it in Spanish to the third, who tells it German to the fourth, who tells it in Russian to the fifth, who tells it to the sixth in Italian, then the sixth repeats the translation back to English... the final story is nothing like the original....

But I did use Babelfish lots when I was working, however, most of what I was translating was Fatura's (invoices) and Purchase Orders.. it works pretty good except for technical terms that aren't in the data base... also since English is a free form language, Spanish and German and French are more "formal" langues with gender and specific sentence structure, there is a little more free interpretation of the translations.
