Well it looks like we are off for a week on this cruise. Any members that have taken the trip. Carnival cruise lines inside passage from VanCouver B.C. through the inside passage, past Prince William Sound, and into Ankorage.
Suggestions on sights to see and things to do. I am looking into geocaching spots at our stop overs...

I have several relatives and friends that have taken that cruise (at different times) and they loved it. I flew into Fairbanks last year, rented a car and drove to Ankorage, Valdez and back with lots of side trips. Loved the interior. But my wife and I are thinking of taking the cruise the next time.

My wife and I are looking at taking this cruise next summer. I'd be very interested in hearing what your experiences are, what excursions and side trips you take.

We took this cruise 2 summers ago, but on Princess. If Carnival stops in
Skagway do not miss the White Pass Summit Excursion. http://www.whitepassrailroad.com/ The Alaska cruise was the best vacation we have taken so far. The wife took over 2500 photos on the cruise and 4 days spent in Anchorage plus another 5 or 6 hours of video.
Do spend the money for a balcony, Do get a room on the right (starboard?) side on the north bound cruise. If anyone gets the chance to take this trip......... DO IT... it does not disappoint. If you want any specific info send me an email.

My wife and I took NCL (Norwegian) on their Seattle round trip cruise and absolutely loved it! I agree, don't miss White's Pass. Also, the helicopter out onto the glacier is incredible. I can still see the blues from that in my head...one day, I will find the right tile and do the bathroom in it, but I haven't yet found a tile that could match the colors! The scale of everything will blow your mind. If you ever want to feel insignificant (and your spouse isn't around to help), just look around at the mountains and glaciers. The scenery is stunning.

There are a TON of trips/excursions you can take, we did the Jeep Safari which took us up to a high mountain lake where we boarded giant dugout canoes, paddled across the lake to a fresh salmon picnic and nature hike through the rainforest, that was real fun. Skip the gold panning expedition, cheap, planted flakes, just wind up with cold hands and a sore back!

Those three, White's Pass, Helo, and Jeep were by far the best trips. We have done this one and the Hawaiian cruise and plan to go back to Alaska as it was just so much more of an "adventure".

Have a great time![:D]
