Has anyone used inlace materials and mixing them with either Similar41 or alumilite??? What are the results??? I see they sell a resin with the kits of this stuff and was wondering if our resins are just as good??? Thanks.

The Inlace resin is nothing but a form of Polyester resin , so it's not any better just more expensive . I think the only real difference is the amount of loading with the Inlace is more like the Onyx brand resin which is still cheaper then the Inlace .

Sorry Butch, I did not understand what you said. I got the part about the inlace resin being the same only more expensive. I was looking at the metal inlay materials and they are not cheap either. Are you saying there is a cheaper alternative??? I want to use this in some turning and scrollsaw work, not pens, so I will need a good quantity.
