Ink Problems while shipping

I'm new to FPs. Once a pen is finished, tested, and shipped. Is there ever a problem with the ink traveling down the nib while it's bouncing around in the UPS van?

Sarullo; I would never ship a FP with ink in it. After testing, clean the nib and feed thoroughly with warm water and package it up. The customer will ink the pen when he gets it.

I will send an unopened cartrage in a plastic bag along with the pen. Jim S

I would agree with Randy. Please do not ship with ink in the pen. If you have to write instructions on how to install the cartridge or converter please do so but ink in a pen that is being shipped is just asking for a mess that the receiver will have to clean up.
