In Honor and Memory

Greetings from Nebraska.

Today during a blizzard here in Nebraska I made a PenPal style pen in honor and memory of Peter Hay. It is a Streamline kit (Peter made many of these) in Antique Brass with a Spalted Maple Burl blank. It is finished with CA. I did my best to mimic Peter's unique design. I always enjoyed reading his posts in the forums. He was a true gentleman. We will miss you Peter.

Love the pen and the sentiment. That's a great finish. It's quite challenging to do a CA finish on all those curves without sanding through. (it is for me, anyway.)

It's good to be back - even for just a little while. I have surgery on my left eye next Tuesday. I will really be glad when it is all over and my eyes have settled down so I can get new glasses. - Dave
