Thought I'd chime in with a little kudos. (Kudo? Kudii?)

More and more, as I see people's photographs improving, I keep seeing Gerry Rhoades' name being thrown around as the source for their improvements. I'm one of those people, but I'm not sure if I've given him due credit for bringing me out of the shutterbug dark ages.

My photos have come a long way, but when I look at his work, I see a whole bunch of stuff I have to improve on and aim toward. I also like that he's still pushing the envelope and learning just like the rest of us. Nice to have someone out there blazing trails!

Gerry has taken a ton of time with a lot of us on an individual basis and really brought us light years forward in the photography department. If anyone is looking to improve their photos and learn how to use the uber-features that most of the recent digital cameras have, Gerry's tutorial is a must read:

Pen Photography 101

Thanks Gerry! :)

One of the things I remember well from my old SLR days when I did some journalism work. The camera does not take the picture... the lens does. Nowadays with fixed lens on just about everything digital, it is hard to know the quality of the lens.

Karl, I've learned quite bit from Gerry's tutorial, there's another guy I've picked up some tricks from :D:D:D Oh we had this discussion , Yup I've learned a lot from your work, I still can't catch your Photoshop work.;););)

Thanks guys. I enjoy photography as a pursuit all on it's own so experimenting is fun. The photos I posted in SOYP last night were sort of an experiment and I'm sure I like the results.:(

My black and clear plexi sheets came in a couple of weeks ago, but I'm afraid to take the backing paper off of them. I just know that somewhere there's a giant lint bunny waiting to pounce on it. heh

I'll probably get around to switching out the mirror for a few shots today after my blank making olympics. I'm bound to have a few questions for you, Gerry! heh [:p]
