Went out to the shop tonight to do a little work. Started drilling a hole with the lathe and all of a sudden the tail stock ram came loose. It was pushed completely out the back of the tail stock. It appears that the piece that is pressed in the end of the tailstock that keeps the threaded shaft centered wore completely through. Doesn't look like I can just replace that part, I'll have to replace the entire tail stock for about $85. If I'm lucky, I can get it by the end of next week.

I don't know if this could be part of your plan, but call Jimbo Warren at General Industrial Supply of Nashville, TN. He has come to my rescue many times. He even gave my woodshop at school a few Jet lathes for my students. They have the Jet 1236 in stock, which usually means they have parts too. Toll Free: 1-800-371-2220
