I'd like to thank the academy and of course, my lovely wife. Without her support, this would never have been possible. And last but certainly not least, I would like to thank all of you.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Jim, you'll get there some day.
You too Andrew
Scott, guys like you inspire me to be great.[:p]
Ya Steve, I noticed. [}:)]

Ya know what Tom, I used to live in Vancouver. I lived there for 25 years. Went to school there. Had a buddy that moved to Camas. I've been through Washougal many times. We moved to St. Helens Or. for 5 years then I moved to Arizona.
Has it changed like every place else. Vancouver has grown outward so much, when I got outside old town, I was lost. I came up for a visit last year. Didn't make it your way though. Used to go through on the way up the gorge. Absolutely beautiful territory. Some times I miss it. I just don't miss the rain.

Interesting Steve. I lived most of my life in Camas. My Dad had a tailor & men's clothing store that I also owned til the mid 70's. Camas has gotten quite quaint and artsy---but, unfortunately I don't get downtown often. Prune Hill has developed quite a lot (I lived there for about 20 years), and it has a pretty high per capita income. You wouldn't recognize downtown Washougal--they recently built a block of store and office buildings near the post office---but, I don't think they have a single tenant yet. Yes, Vancouver and Camas are almost merged---lots of new development out by 192nd.

Does this mean you won't be making nice comments about our pens anymore?:( Not many of the high number guys will comment in there, unless they know the person.[V] Maybe they're just more discerning.[}:)] Or maybe, it's just my crappy pens.[:0]

If you have gotten that impression, I apologize. And I'm sure the rest do as well. We don't mean to overlook anyone. There is just so many posts. Especially in Show Off Your Pens. There are 30 or 40 a day some times.
I personally will make a point to look there more often and post comments.

Tom, I had no idea they were coming so close together. Sounds like it's going to be like Portland soon, with all of it's out skirting communities. You can hardly tell when you leave one and enter another.

Wait, now I'm pretty sure I can tell when I'm near Camus at least. The mill still running? Peeew. heh

I lived in Rochester for three years, and we'd have track and cross country meets down around there. That was the Papermaker's secret weapon, that smell.

Then we moved to Port Townsend, and I got to enjoy the mill stink up close and personal. heh
