I am starting this post to avoid hijacking the thread for Karl.

I've been away for a while but tried to read as often and as much as I can these past couple of months. Sadly I cannot post much then.

Life is a bit better now and thanks to countless IAP members who extended their assistance during the rough (and challenging) times.

We are settled in our new place now but all my turning stuff are still in boxes including the lathe and most likely, will stay in there for a year or 2. :(

To those who sent emails and well wishes...thank you very much!!! :)

I know exactly what you are going through Dario. I am in a similar position myself except we have got to build our new place yet, which is not going to be a quick process.:(
But i am going to try and convience SHMBO, that building my workshop first will give us somewhere to store all out belongings and save us money. I might just have to keep a small area free, so i can have a play on my lathe.[}:)]

Let me think a minute ...... Dario? .... Dario??? hmmmmm Dario?????? We used to have a guy here named Dario then he was banned or something for being mean and nasty to everybody. Plus, he did that Chef's Salad thing that wasn't a salad at all. I'm glad to see that Jeff has lifted the lifelong ban that had been placed on you. Hope you can behave yourself this time. ;);)

Kidding, of course. We're glad to see you back in action. But to be honest with you ... I was thinking that I might be able to pass the all time leader in posts if you had just stayed away another year or two. :D:D

Dario good to see you back in the saddle again. We took a vote while you were gone. You post counter has been reversed so every time you post it will now subtract one off your number.

GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK!!!!!

Hey Dario,

Whenever you feel the need to turn something, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I am not that far from you and you can have the run of my shop. Don't be a stranger!!

You were gone?[}:)]

Kidding, glad to hear things are coming around for ya. Hope you can get back in the game soon. We miss your great work and input around here.

Great to see you posting again Dario....

Nice to see you here again Dario. Welcome home.
And, if you do go to Curtis' shop, see if you can sneak some nice
mesquite out the back door for me. Something large enough to build
a pair of bedside nightstands. [}:)]:D

Thank you guys!!!

Glad to hear you're ok, Dario...hope the new job and new place are up to your expectations...

Try and get those tools out of the boxes, though - it's a good stress reliever!

Andrew
Andrew, The job is as expected and had extra (good) perks I actually didn't expect. I know how good turning is in relieving stress and there are days I really need it. I'll try to get set up sooner if possible.

Thanks again!

Dario, it has been a bit quiet around here while you were moving. Glad to read that all is well with you and the family. It is indeed good to see you posting here again as your time permits. Hurry up and get your shop all arranged and let us see some of your "stuff" ... :D
