Sorry to hear you were sick. I thought you were have loads of fun in Big Bear.
Evidently, you didn't get your flu shot. I wonder how many people get them.
I never do, just don't trust the vacines coming out.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, I ALMOST wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy [}:)].

BTW, I guess I was still recouping when I posted this. The point of the post was to get sympathy for missing my biggest show of the year (I do 3[:p]). I had already paid my entry fee [:(]

Seems I just got back and have to leave again [:0]. We will be leaving for Big Bear on Thursday, gone til Sunday. Our son is graduating from police academy on Friday in Santa Maria, Ca. My brother and his wife are flying to BB to pick us up and we will fly on in to SM Friday morn. Brother has a Navion he has repainted, rebuilt and put a bigger engine in. That little plane goes way over 200 mph and I enjoy every time we go up. We are going to have a fun weekend! BTW, our son will be a police officer in Pismo Beach, Ca., some poeple have all the luck [8D][8D][8D][8D]

At least you'll be set for all the clams you can eat! I used to go to Pismo Beach all the time and dig for clams.I grew up right down Hwy. 101 in San Pedro.

Hey Becca, I see you live in Brawley. My uncle used to be THE Coast Guard guy at the Salton Sea many, many moons ago. We used to spend our summers (HOT) there when I was growing up. I learned how to swim and water ski there. We also went there at Christmas and Santa would water ski up to the beach with a sack on his back and hand out presents to all us kids! Do you know any Fadler's? My uncles name was Max. I know The Sea has gone straight downhill but I remember all the good times when it used to be a happening place. For a little kid in the 50's that is!

My Dad got one the end of October 2006. He ended up with Pneumonia and died the middle of November.

Coincidence? Maybe, but I don't trust the vaccines either.

Rick, our paths probably crossed at one time or another at the SS. We used to go water skiing there also when I was a young kid. Did lots of Corvina (sp) fishing and actually ate the fish. Not now its too polluted. People complain its the farmer's irrigation run off but gee, could it be the new river that comes out of Mexico that is soo polluted with trash, tires and human waste that dumps into the SS??? Uh, oh don't get me started, step away from the soap box Rebecca!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry don't recognize the name Fadler but what fun memories he gave you. Must have been a fun guy!!

BTW people, I just saw on Fox News there is a massive virus going around that is not the flu. People are dying from it trying to heal themselves, go see your Dr. if you have any syptoms. Symptoms are exactly the same as I had and I am still having dizziness and a little upset stomach. Please be well everyone!!!!!
