Ikea Ice trays

These were discussed recently regarding their potential use for casting. Did anyone take a lok at them? If so, what are your thoughts?

I happened to visit Ikea today and saw the trays (.99 ea) The cavities measured a bit over 7/8' deep x 1/2" wide by about 6 1/2 long. The mold is flexible but not silicone, it seems to be some cheap rubber. If someone is only doing slimlines it may work and if you drill carefully maybe even europeans but other than that I don't think they would be any good.
