I had a local match to day at Howell with my dad, should get the scores late tonight or tomorrow, hopefully I beat my Dad.
Im shooting a XDM-9, dads shootin an XD-9, we're both in ESP devision, but im unclassified, hes presently a sharpshooter, but we're just gettin back into this, Dad used to be in expert class.
for those of you who understood this, or like shooting, enjoy!!!

Pretty cool. Use to shoot in the Cactus Combat League on Thursday nights at the Ben Avery Range in Phoenix. My son still can't beat me :) I didn't think you could own a firearm in IL :eek: :biggrin:
 
Used to shoot bowling pins like that at an indoor range a few years ago. I used a 45ACP WWII issue and a 357 magnum revolver. Great fun until my back gave out. Friday night was date night, the wife and I would go out and shoot a couple hundred rounds and then have supper.

I think that's just the city of Chicago.

yes but even thats being changed now.
you can own firearms in Il just cannot concealed carry, they dont issue permits

Sounds like a good way to get banned from the bowling alley! :eek::eek::biggrin:
 
Cool... I'm not a shooter and don't want to be one... even with the muffs, the loud noise is hard on my ears.... I've had a ringing in them for 30 years ever since I left the airlines... even with protection, the noise of a jet engine up close is terrific.

Glad you had fun and had a good day with Dad.

Chicago just lost their firearms ban in the US Supreme court, no body knows yet what the fallout will be.
 
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Shooting is a great sport. I use to shoot bullseye for the state, bowling pins and steel plates. I'd like to try IDPA sometime.

Haha yeah maybe.
I was shootin a glock 35 but I swithed to the XDM-9 to save on recoil and cost of ammo.
I loved that glock, but I dont mind the XD either:)
i might even like it better soon!
