Hi folks,
I would like to raffle off some beautiful pen blanks to benefit IAP. It is an idea that I've been tossing around and I call it "Everything Rosewood". There are two groups, shown in two pictures. The first group is true rosewoods, including the following:
Cocobolo (Mexican Rosewood)
Honduras Rosewood (1 is 3/4", the other is jumbo)
East Indian Rosewood Jumbos
Giant Tulipwood (Brazil)
Giant Kingwood (Brazil)
African Blackwood with Birdseye and sapwood (I'll try to get a good pic of the birdseyes)
Bois de Rose (Sierra Blank from Madagascar, though it is not "Madagascar Rosewood")
Note: Jumbos are 7/8" sq. and Giants are 1" sq. E.I.Rosewood will be trimmed to 6" to fit in package.
This 2nd group is called Rosewood, but it is not true (Dalbergia) rosewood. I hope to add to this two Bolivian Rosewood blanks, when they come in. They have been given the names "rosewood", because they are similar to other rosewoods in one way, or another. These are:
Caribbean Rosewood (Chechen)
New Guinea Rosewood (Narra, aka Amboyna wood)
African Rosewood (Bubinga)
Raffles are $5.00 each, with multiple tickets for individuals certainly permitted and desired. This forum has been a real benefit to me and many others and I just want to say thank you and give what I have to benefit this great forum.
Please post here to secure raffle tickets, which will be kept here and drawn (by my wife) from a box in 1 week. I would like to acknowledge Dario for coming up with this great idea. I think it is the best way to benefit this forum.

EDIT: If you need to pay by check, or money order, please post the number of tickets you want and e-mail me for my address.
I believe this is the easiest way to do this, that will not create more work for Jeff. Due to tax laws, this is the only way this can be done. Please post the number of tickets you want here, to keep this whole thing transparent and accurate.
I've been waiting to do this for some time now but it seemed like there was always another benefit going on and I didn't want to interfere in any way with them. Thanks to all of you who have made this forum the best. No offense meant to other forums. Also, please understand that you won't be getting a ticket. For each $5.00 donation you make, your name will be placed in a box and the winner will be drawn in a week.
To rephrase this: For every $5.00 donation you make, your name will be placed on a ticket and put in a box. The more you donate, the better your chances of winning. Shipping outside of the USA will come from donations, but I will pay for the first $4.05.
