I normally just buy my kits from Beaufort Ink, but for something different I purchased three of these Classic Elite kits elsewhere.
The threads are pure garbage.
When I looked into them I found that it was a common problem, and they have been superceded by Mark 2.
I wish I had known that beforehand.

That is on the right way. It has a tenon to fit on the cap end.

Metal threads suck. I stopped making kits with metal on metal threads long ago. Be aware, there are a few others.

Thanks for the heads up. I've glommed on to the classic elites as a slimmer rollerball/fountain pen offering and will now be on the lookout for the older ones.

It's a nice looking pen, though. I've used quite a few of the PSI Classic Elite 2 kits without issues, but this one looks like a different brand. (or an original Classic Elite, assuming something came before the 2)
