James, I found this interesting, but for another reason than most might think. The idea of a water-filtered vacuum has actually been around since 1936, and the same model is still around today. It's called the RainbowHome Cleaning System. We bought one over 20 years ago and LOML wishes she still had it. She was convinced by another brand's salesman that his was better so she "upgraded". She has regretted it ever since. FWIW, cleaning the Rainbow is easier than what you demonstrated, but it costs about three times more unless you can find one used.

Draken the Consumer Advocate.... Got a nice ring to it. [:D]
Like Billi said, that product is trying to copy the concept of the Rainbow Vaccum.... Which has been around since dirt. Doesn't appear to work as well either.
We have one and my wife and daughter's allergies are 1/2 of what they used to be.

But, how does it do in the shop??[:p]

Yes it is a knock off of the Rainbow, that was their intent. Sucker is a pain in the tushie to clean though. After the TV crew left, and having rinsed it out twice, it started to smell a few days later. Had to clean it out yet again to get rid of the egg and smell. For the shop, I think I'll stick with my 16 gallon Shop-Vac with HEPA filter. Oh, and the "powered head" that they mention in the video appears to be battery powered, as there is no power leads from the motor to the end of the hose.

I had pens and other items all laid out on a table in my living room to catch their attention. But they were all work, focused on getting the footage and getting back to the station. [:(]

The vacuum is still for sale, taking all offers! [:D]

That was my thought, too Steve! James, how did you get to be a guinea pig? And why weren't Shelli and Elizabeth in the shots??? [:D]

I was in their database because I sent them email years ago wondering if the Dyson really did that. They never tested the Dyson because there wasn't an infomercial for it. So when this vacuum came along, they called me up to see if I was interested in testing it. The family wasn't home during filming, made it much easier on the film crew to setup and get the shots done without extra people milling around. Now if I could only convince Oneway to do an infomercial for their lathes, I'd be set! [)][}:)]
