Cool. What did the final indexed cut look like?
Final cut
Don't have a photo of it ,but it about 3/4 of a inch long .
I know a trick how to make the final cut look better .
You can window the final cut out by raising the bit and re cutting, the putting a piece of wood in and then raise the bit and recut .
I will do one in a few weeks .. I

That process has been on my mind in a larger scale, (small bowls) but I am not ready in my shop to try it yet. I'm moving my tools around, and they are almost too much for a 70 year old.
