What is something you really want to try, but for some reason you have not done it yet. Use any or all of these areas: penmaking, other turnings, woodworking. List area, what you want to try, and why you have not done it yet (doesn't even have to be a good reason ;)).

Here is mine:
Penmaking.
I would like to make myself a nice fountian pen, but I'm afraid to open up (wallet) and learning about nib sizes and styles, cartridges, pumps, inks, care and attention, avoiding possible ink stains are all a little overwhelming. Actually I think I would enjoy it, but then I'm back to opening the wallet again [^].

Mine is easy turn a chess set. I was a huge chess geek and one of my woodworking hobbies was making chess boards prior to turning. The two main things I wanted to do when I go tmy mini was make pens and turn a chess set.

Why I have not done it yet. My spindle turning skills are not nearly good enough to make a set that I would not be embaressed by. It is still on the wish list but so far I have been obsessed with pens, then it was bowls, now I am moving into hollow forms.

I have lots of want to trys, but right now the one I go t bed thinking about at night, is making one of the 50 cal. BMG pens. so why have I not? well one was the search to find materials. that is now done. Next are the requirements to order the materials. I think I am getting over that one. Third is what I would have to add to my shop to really do one right. A collet chuck for my metal lathe etc. Finally I have to get 100 bullets, requiring 100 brass casings in order to get the stuff to make even one pen. so $100 dollars in bullets and brass, $100 + for a collet and a cigar pen kit in order to make one at best, conversational pen. I will do it but just haven't justified myself over all the hurdles yet.
