There is something that I want to make which requires a blank that I am not able to purchase. I think I can make it out of alumilite but I am a little hesitant to purchase everything that I need to start casting until I know that I can do what I want to do.

I am looking for a blank that is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, square is also fine, and 2 1/2 to 3 inches long. The part that is different is the color. I am looking for a clear (transparent) lime green. I have linked to a couple pictures that show the basic color I am looking for.

Even a little less tint than these is fine and the exact color is not as important as a bubble free, transparent casting.

I would like to purchase 3-4 blanks, or whatever the minimum number you need to make. Can anyone help me out.

check these folks out, they make a fantyastic dye. im not sure if it is compatable with alumilite but it couldnt hurt to ask. i used it a while back for a theater project i was working on, I believe they sell sample sizes , so someone who casts should give it a shot !
 
Alumilite dyes are pretty transparent. If someone knew how to make the lime green using them I dont think it would be an issue. I would offer but I dont know how to get the color....... If time permits I will do a couple of test runs and if I have success I will let you know. That said, there are a lot of well established casters here that likely already have a recipe for it.
 
I'm almost positive it can be done from alumilite and probably PR but I am not set up to cast and don't really want to buy everything necessary just to try a couple of things that might not turn out how I am envisioning them or might not sell once they do. If someone can make some custom ones for me to try then I will get set up to cast if I see that it is worth it.
