I pulled a piece of wood out of an old wood pile. The outside of the piece looked somewhat like this.

Look what I found when I cut into it. Seven beautiful pen blanks.

The orange seems to be rust from an old bucket. It is about 3/4 of an inch below the surface. The spalting ranges in color olive green, grey, blue and brown.

The best part is... The wood was free!!

LOL. He had the same opportunity I did to get this wood. We both had the offer at the same time. [B)]

Besides, He probably would'nt get his hands dirty with some of this stuff. [)]

He told me about your group. I may have to sneak over with him one day. [:D]

Have you seen his place?

It's no wonder he does pens. He does not have enough room left to build anything larger.

I get amused. Everytime I talk with him the conversation usually starts: "Have I talked with you since I got ____(insert tool here)____?"
