I started my pen turning journey about three years ago after my friend told me about her father and his obsession with pen turning.
He passed his week and my friend called me and asked if I wanted his stash of kits and blanks. I was blown away by the amount of everything, easily a couple hundred pounds of blanks and there wasn't a junk blank in the entire lot. I have lots to sort through- one trunk is wood blanks, the other is hybrid and resin blanks, plus half a dozen other containers of misc blanks. I am truly honored and grateful that they passed these items on to me. First project with the new supplies will be to make each of his kids and grandkids a pen

Clay, could you ask your friend if her dad was a member of this group? If she is unsure, ask if she could type in "penturners" in his browser and see if it auto fills and she should then be able to see his member name in the upper right hand corner of the page.

I hope you make many great pens from your new supplies. I'm sure I have more pen supplies than I will ever have time to make as well :)

I k ow he was on some pen groups on Facebook but haven't had any luck searching for him here. I'm headed back today to pick more items and I will ask her.

Side note, if anyone is local to the central Ohio area and wants a good deal on pressure pots and casting supplies, hit me up. I'll be making a sale post once I inventory everything
