Other than perhaps a minute or two here and there, it has been raining Constantly for three days now, often so heavy you can't see 30 feet out the window and I'm sick of it!

I can't even enjoy being in the shop because of the constant noise! I know I'm not alone, my little Yorkie, Herbie hates it too! Everytime we catch a slowdown in the down pour we run out and let him take care of business and he gets all wet and muddy so my sweetie gives him a quick rinse and blow dry which he hates... so all in all me and Herbie think this weekend sucks!

There I said it, I feel better now. Now I gotta go back out to the shop and listen to it rain again! :frown:

Yep same here, my shop has a metal roof can't even hear myself think and Tony our Corgi thinks he's made of sugar and won't even walk in the yard, so far the patio and a small patch of garden next to the patio are his new restroom.

Don't feel bad Roy, I have a German Shepherd that thinks she'll melt from the rain or even the hot sun (on the rare occasion we get any)

I live in a rainforest -- Locally about 65 inches a year -- town I lived in a few years back south of here gets over 200 inches of precip a year -- think 3 weeks of rain.

hey, guess what...it's raining again...and now there's a guy in my front yard building a big boat...what's up with that...

You might want mosey over and see if he has any gopher wood burls or other worthless wood.

It rained all day Satruday here, its unusual to have a steady rain unless its a tropical storm/hurricane. IT usually rains everyday for 20-40 minutes and then quits but it can drop 2-4 inches in that time. Try to stay dry.

I like the rain
for one thing when sets in and rains all day its cooler and cooler in my shop
and I like it cooler ,so does my work ethic, turned 7 aero's today and finished putting finish on pepper grinder about 6 coats today.
Had to come in the house and visit wife some to show off pens as I got one done got wet everytime, but she did 'nt clean me up and dry me off.
Our weather is like this (if you don't like it today maybe you will like it tomorrow)

Rain? Whats rain? clowds go over and only wave to us. We Have had a three year drought. Our rain is from about Jan to March the rest of thr year it's dry heat. Our lakes are at about 50 %

They say if you don't like the weather in Texas give it 5 minutes and it will change. Lately all the rain has been proving that wrong. I tried to use the rain as an excuse to sit around the house and take life easy by telling my wife if I went out I was so sweet I would melt. After she finally quit laughing she told me I didn't have to worry about it what I was full of just disolved it didn't melt.I am still trying to figure out what she was talking about. Oh well instead of straining my head I'll just make a quick dash to the shop and enjoy the cooler weather.

I'll trade places with ya! Just thinking how close you are to all those world class wineries more than makes up for the lack of rain! :)

Paso Robles is my favorite place to visit and stock up on wine and I have to drive 1800 miles to get there! :frown:

Yesterday we drove home, 400 miles from New Mexico to Texas in the rain, loved every minute of it. Sure is nice to see all of the fields and pastures of West Texas nice and green instead of the results of the drought.

I love rain. And since my shop's in my garage beneath my living room, it's nice and quiet ... Until the hail comes!

OK, no gopher wood burls, but those dang animals are making a mess in the front yard...come on already...
