I got some great news this week at work,,,,

Hi All,
I work for the City of Bullhead City. I have been there for a little over 7 months. This time I have been working as a "non-benefited temporary" employee. This means I have been working with no benefits, no paid holidays, no vacation, no insurance.
Well, a fella that started the same time as me, (he got one of the permanent spots I wanted) failed a drug test and was fired. Don't feel bad for him, he was an a__ hole anyway. Disrespectful and bossy. I am applying for that spot Monday. The benefits are what you would expect from a city job. Very good!
I am basically in line for the job. They have told me to apply and what to do when I do. The position is being posted in house only, so they already know who they want,,,,,,,,,,ME!!
I'm really stoked.
So anyway, wish me luck and I'll know more by the end of next week.

Steve, I hasvn't been around as much as I would like the last couple fo weeks. But it's nice to finally here some good news around here. This is not a complaint but a couple fo weeks ago it seemed everyone was really getting hit with bad news of one type or anouther. loosing pets, family memebrs, injuries or what have you. Let's hope you start a trend it th eother direction. And congrats sounds to me like you already have the job.

And I agree about the bad news thats been going around lately. Not only here, but everywhere. Seems like it's all you hear lately. Gas is up, food is up, wages are down, real estate is down. I'm glad I could bring a little positive news to us all. I plan to make the best of it too. This is a great opportunity for me and I intend to take it and run.
