OK maybe this is the most pointless post I've ever made, but I got a coupon flier from HF in my inbox, and this was one of the items.

A nesting toolbox set? Other than the fact that you get 4 toolboxes of slightly smaller sizes, what's the point? Who ever needs to "nest" their toolboxes?

That's easy, you only put one tool in each box so you have room to put all the boxes inside each other. Makes it easier to carry all of them around when you need it. Duh!

OK.

They are nested to take up less space for the vendor. What you do when you buy them is un-nest them, and place the tools you use least in the smallest box and hide it somewhere in you garage/workshop. In 6 months when you need that tool, you can no longer find it, so you go to buy a new one. Since you are already at the tool store, you see what other tools you "need", and pick them up. You then come home and explain to the spouse, aka "Financial Committee Chairperson", what a great deal you got on the new tools that you "needed".

Basically, you can think of these nesting tool boxes as fertilizer for growing your tool collection.

Now, I would not want anyone to think that I have used this method. No, not me :)

While there, you may as well get another tool box so you can store the new ones also. This must be why I have 4 truck tools boxes in storage, anyone need one?

Somebody in the marketing department is slipping. I see an obvious 8 pcs in that set:eek:

8? I count 11.. You only counted the 3 white compartments turned so you notice them.. The 3 big boxes each have 2 of those!!!:eek::eek:

So if they counted 4, you counted 8, I counted 11... Next time marketing will tell us there is 17.
