OMG! I am so thrilled right now lol. So I built a single blank mold out of maple on Sunday and tried casting. Well it ended up the top being solid and the bottom being mush. So I tried again. This time it turned out. So I was sitting here thinking about it and I decided I just had to go round this thing. OMG! I am so happy with the result! For my 2nd try I am very satisfied. This is PR with purple & silver pearl-ex powder. Let me know what you all think. I sat it in the garage over night and when I came home had the solid block. I was nervous if it was going to break apart, but it didn't. Now I hope I can repeat this success again. Thanks for looking!

Todd - I am going to be honest with you. That glob in the first photo looks like dodo. With that being said, if they turn out as nice as the second and third photo, then I hope that they all look like dodo.

Looks good. If you run out of that PR, I have another can of it I can give you. I'll try and find those other jars of Pearl Ex I have to let you borrow for more colors.

Looks good. It is more fun when you make your own I havent had any blow out with my cast's. Now the fun realy starts trying other colours and mix.

Woot!! Nice job Todd! I'm on my 4th casting and share your enthusiasm...it's fun getting it right and you sure pulled it off. If I may offer a suggestion, keep a notebook of Pearl-Ex colors with some kind of identifier so you can reproduce the color combination. Congratz!!

Todd, The second and third look amazing!! I just got all the stuff to cast...I hope at least one of my first twenty turn out half as nice as yours..GREAT LOOKING!!. Thanks for sharing. Doc

ROFL. Thank you to everyone very much. Appreciate the comments. Yeah, once I looked at it more and talked to Larry, I kept thinking, he is right, I need to round this tonight. LOL Special thanks to my buddy Larry for hooking me up with the PR and pearl-ex to even get started. I have one baking in the garage right now. Fingers are crossed that it turns out just as nice.
