I came home today and found two boxes on my front porch. Both were addressed to me. I opened the smaller of the two and found the shelves and stands for a kiln. The larger box I did not open. The larger box had an invoice so opened the invoice and read it. The boxes were to a person with the same name as me but in Arizona. I called the shipper and talked to a nice lady who said she would have UPS come get it tomorrow. She says that this is happening quite often with UPS. She thanked me for calling as many people don't and the company has to try to recover the shipment and or reship the items.
At least I can look at myself in the mirror in the morning.

That makes you good for at least three months, right?

I got a TV delivered from Wal-Mart online, about two years ago. Sad thing was I ordered a printer, not a TV... Dang if they didn't want it back too..... My printer had gone to the family that ordered the TV... Bet they were surprised.....

Good Job Mark!!!

Something similar happened to me with a pair of shoes once. I tried to send them back, but hte shipper pretty much refused. I ended up giving the shoes to goodwill.

You will be rewarded in heaven for what you did today. Good job, we need more people like you.
I am proud to be associated through this site with people like you.

I got a call from a guy in South Dakota (maybe North?) about 2 weeks ago. Said he had MY order (pen kit) sent to him by mistake  and he would call them to straighten it out. He ended up sending me the package, hopefully he got his order eventually.

I had that happen to me too... not Wal-Mart, but Don Pencil... I ordered his hollowing system and when the box arrived it was buffing systems... with a packing slip for a guy in California. I live in Tennessee. I called Don and he had a really good laugh over the mix-up... then told me to keep the buffing system and he would get me another hollowing system.. it arrived 4 days later...

I took my Texas debit card to the bank the other day to get my "unemployment compensation." The clerk counted out the money and gave me an extra c-note. I handed it all back to him and told him he had given me too much. He recounted the cash, gave me the correct amount, and turned away without a word. As I walked out of the bank, I wondered if I should have kept the $100. Nope, I did the right thing whether the clerk knew it or not.

That little jerk had better pay attention. He won't be working there very long if that happens too many times.

Its one of those things in life. How we respond defines our character, you dont need us to tell you it was the right thing to, you already knew that. Mike
