I'm a Rutger's grad......200th anniversary class.....and have been waiting for something like this for 40 years!! I don't have cable; but looked at the Internet feed at half time and saw the Knights were down by 11......figured it was all over.[:(] Sure would have liked to see the second half.

RU has been a "big time" wannabe for a long time; but never quite figured out how to do it. Maybe they have finally broken through and will be a force in the future?? It is a great academic institution... sure would be nice to have a strong football team too.
That should really shake things up in the BCS [;)]

Should put Texas at least one spot closer to a repeat invitation for the national championship if they continue to take care of business. Looks like those who thought Texas was finished when Vince Young left were a little premature??

As a point of interest for any sports fans:

The Birthplace of Intercollegiate Football

In 1869, Rutgers and Princeton played the first game of intercollegiate football in a New Brunswick field overlooking the Raritan(River). For the record, Rutgers came out victorious, by a score of 6 to 4.

I love it when the little guys shake things up. Not a fan of Louisville and throughly enjoyed the offsides penalty which gave Rutgers a second chance. Rutgers played lights out defense in the second have. Go Scarlet Knights

I seem to recall that Texas had their shot at #1 this year, and if memory serves me correctly, they forgot to show up for that game [:p] So, someone else desrves a shot [:D]

Texas had "A" shot at #1......but you might also recall they had a true freshman quarterback who was in only his second collegiate game. With a few additional games under his belt, that kid now has Heisman swirling around his name. UT may not have been the best team in the country at the beginning of the year......but they may very well be the best at the end of the year. We will just have to wait and see?? It ain't over until it is over!!

Amen Randy....

I'd like to see how Ohio State would come out against the Texas team that played last weekend. Let's not forget that Texas was ranked #3 the week before. The media moved them up to #2 the week before that game. There was a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Colt McCoy. However, he and the rest of the team have learned a lot. I really believe we would see a different out come if that game were played today.
