How to sharpen hedge trimmers?

I have a cheapo pair of electric hedge trimmers that need some TLC. I need to sharpen the blades since they cut like crud. Anyone help me out here. Everything I google says to use a dremel. Well, guess what, I don't have one. I could just buy a new trimmer for what a dremel would cost me. Just need to help these old blades out. My bushes are starting to look kind of shabby.

Since I don't like to use my grinding wheels for anything except expensive steel, i use a flat file to home the edge on my garden cutting tools...

Put a dremel bit in a drill, sharpen away........

Thanks guys my dad actually had a dremel and some sharpening bits. Took me 30 minutes to sharpen and 15 to actually trim 5 bushes. Sharp tools are amazing. Hmm... if I ever get back to turning pens maybe I should remember that.
