You would be surprised by taking a slow walk in a wooded area how many you see, but not all of them have amazing figure. I've found a couple that were pretty bland after getting all excited.

It's interesting stuff. Even here in Michigan where we don't have tons of burls, people steal them. They come in and take them at night. Chain saw, steal flex tubing and a bucket of water ...just like building a silencer.

I'm hoping the comment regarding burls been found in clusters is true. I know where there is an oak burl near me and every other oak there is covered in burl also.
I reckon there is more bog oak burl where i found the first piece
