Hi,

Does anyone have any suggestion on what to add to my PR for an opaque color?
I have Micas for a translucent and pearly look, but don't know what to add for a solid colour?

Didn't want to load the PR with Mica as it just won't give the opaque look and probably affect curing!

Thanks, PHIL

you can add White Micro Powder to give it that swirl to your existing or you can get some Pearl Ex that already has ther swirl going on. I am about to try some from artstuff.com but others swear by Coastal Scents. I will try them next.

Wow, now thats a quick response!!

Thanks, plenty to look through there, gonna see if I can get some samples here in the UK. There's more opaque colours than I realised!

Cheers

I use pigments from TAP. I used them to make this kitless FP: http://www.penturners.org/forum/f13/turbulent-blue-91169/

Thanks, thats the type of white im looking for! Looks like you poured that blanks from the middle out. Impressive looking swirls and colour blend!

I actually did it by casting it vertically. The cap was done on a separate cast since I didn't get enough material from the first one that was used for the body. But, put the two together and and you get the "middle out" effect as you see there. Thanks for the compliments!

That explains it! I wondered if they were vertically done! Think I might be having a go at that!!
