I have a package that I sent to a fellow penturner, from NC to Canada.

It disappeared in the mail.

I am re-sending him a new package, but USPS offers no tracking option beyond the border.

Of course, UPS will track it just fine but they want $80 to ship it, and it's only 4 pounds of blanks.

Does anyone have any experience in how to ship to Canada and have some sort of tracking so it can be tracked down if it gets lost?

Thanks,

Matt

And for those shipping from Canada to the US , Canada Post tracking will confirm the time it enters the US , and time of delivery to recipient . It is also possible to enter the Canada Post tracking number into the USPS tracking system . Wayne

USPS tracking numbers are pretty much useless to Canada, though...it says that it's in transit, and little else. It certainly doesn't help if it gets lost...
Actually that pretty much holds true if mailing within the states as well. I've never seen the tracking system say... "Your package was in transit UNTILL it got lost in Amarillo"!

Thanks Wayne, I never knew that:wink:

Although, it sounds like the USPS is as useless as Canada Post for real time tracking:mad:
