Warning: Newbie question.
How many 3/4" square X 5" blanks do you get from a gallon of resin?
I know it's a floating answer question, so a ballpark figure is fine.

Thanks for any info.

I would guess between 50 and 60. I think there's about 2 oz per blank and 128 fluid oz in a gallon which would come to 64 blanks so I guess it all depends on how good you are at pouring the exact amount you need per pour.

.75 x .75 x 5 =2.8125 cubic inches
2.8125 cubic inches = 1.561212 fluid ounces per blank
128 fl. oz. per gsallon / 1.561212 fl. oz per blank = 81.9882141942 blanks

Along with what John said about how accurately you can pour and cast.

Happy casting
Do a good turn daily!

231 cubic inches per gallon. 82.13 w/o any waste. If you cast with tubes in you get to subtract that volume too. Cast round instead of square cross section and get even more blanks.

I use 2oz per blank of Silmar 41 in round pvc molds. Some is going to drip, some will never find its way out of the container. Some will accidentally get knocked over while reaching for your mica powder....but you should be able to get at least 50-55 blanks.
