I've only done it once so far and I let it set in the pot for about three hours at 50 lbs. It worked good but I have no clue if that was correct. I wanted to make sure it set before I removed it.
1 hour for resin blanks. If cast objects like a pine cone let's say, then the resin is less thick and less in contact with itself so an extra 30 min is good idea. Thinner generates less heat and so if not left in a bit longer resin may still be bit soft and if soft then bubbles crushed inside can re expand
When I measure my alumilite, I use a gram/ounce scale. I first pour in part a, then an equal amount of part b in the same cup. Mix, then mix in any dyes/additives I may want to use.
