I mixed up a batch of PR while it was still warm. I used the minimum amount of drops to cure to see what difference it would make in the final product. But right after mixing and pouring into the forms the temperature dropped. I live in north Texas and 30 degree changes in a half day are common.
So now three days later my wife is not happy due to the smell in the garage. I keep saying any day now but don' think she believes me anymore.
How long does it take if temp is below 70?
Suppose to get hot this weekend.

Thanks

I never had any go that long and not setup. I'm in Texas (I know about temp swings LOL) as well but on the coast. I would rather have a few extra drops in the setup than not enough

Get an old toaster oven or make a box and put a light bulb in it. A few hours at 120 F will cure most any PR mixture. The smell is another thing and why my shop is in separate building.

Ok Bruce took your advice and ran over to the Salvation Army store and bought a $10 toaster oven. Since I am not sure of what the real temp is I used my wireless barbecue temp monitor. This gauge my son got me for fathers day and is a great gadget. So I can set inside the house and watch the temp of the oven without smelling the fumes.
The only disturbing thing is when it approaches the temp for the meat the unit talks to you and says the on-tray is almost ready.

Thanks

using silmar 41 I've been using 5 drops per ounce (due to the 35-40 degree temps) and it usually sets up sticky after 24 hrs, then it gets a half hour in the hotbox
