How long does Alumilite take to ship?

Once ordered how long does it take to get it on the road?

I ordered this weekend. Order is still pending. Just want some idea what you guys who order regularly see.

I placed my order in the evening and it was shipped the following weekday. I had it in 3 days.

That is a good idea Manny..you should run and grab a can of castin craft. It will be worth the wait for the alumilite and I prefer alumilite, but both products have their pro's and cons and I say try them both. You might decide to stock them both depending on what you are going to be doing.

Crystal clear is a new version of Alumilite water clear that Mike just came up with that uses a different, even safer catalyst. It was mainly created for fishing lure makers. I am currently doing some testing for Alumilite on a version of the Crystal Clear that looks promising for pen makers with potentially better polishing capabilities. There will be more information coming soon!

Cool! .. and .005 shrinkage, too. Looks like it is a tiny bit softer than the Clear,
and a bit thicker?

The version that I am testing is certianly not thicker. Not sure about the one they are selling now, though. Also, it is not softer that I can see. It is actually a little more brittle but still will not break if you throw a blank on the concrete floor! The brittleness helps it polish better. The test batches that I have made have all polished up just as good as some PR blanks that I have! I did one regular clear Alumilite, one secret version Crystal Clear, and one PR all with exactly the same sanding and polishing routine. I showed all 3 to 4 different people and asked them to pick out the "shinest". All 4 people said the PR and secret Crystal Clear were identical and noticably shinier than the Alumilite clear. VERY promising! I am finishing up some additional testing and should have the results back to Mike real soon.
